What have you learnt from your audience feedback?

In order to compile feedback from an audience in a way that gave us some quantifiable data to work with, our group used the survey website ‘Survey Monkey’. We aimed to get an idea of what people liked and disliked about our music video. We used both multiple choice questions and written response boxes so we had a variety. The open-ended answers gave us more in-depth and personal opinions and allowed for direct contructive critisism. The flaws pointed out to us were fair but overall I think that our video was praised more than it was scorned.
We made some changes to our video based on the response from the audience. We redited and reshot portions of it in order to address the issue of out-of-sync lip-syncing and lighting issues. Including implementing entirely new scenes and replacing older ones in order to fill a void and maintain the pace of the video.

We used survey monkey primarily because it meant we could not control who took our survey, and the anonimity of the internet encouraged the audience to have a higher degree of honesty when giving their views. Us not being able to ask only friends and family to take the survey and the lack of fear of insulting us in person if we did it face to face meant we gathered the most unbiased results we possibly could.

Storyboard Plan for our Music Video

This is the storyboard we created to help plan our music video, it acts as a guide and a reference to help us when we film our music video so we know when each scene takes place and what camera angles to use during specific scenes. We also kept track of the duration that each scene should last in order to help us keep the lip synching in order.
