Digipaks must be made of a material that is not standard of the usual jewel case. They are predominantly made of cardboard but there are examples of some made of metal as well as materials that have been entirely recycled (to make the purchaser feel better about spending the increased amount for it). They will almost always contain the deluxe edition for an album (if it is available), possibly in a separate disk. Digipaks traditionally have exclusive album art on both the cover as well as enclosed inside the digipak itself (in the form of posters or booklets), this acts as an incentive to purchase this over the standard jewel case.
